There is no way in hell that I would dump my 07 RKC
with the stablizer for A street glide. There is nothing bad
to say about the street glide but I love my 07. Now I am
thinking about a bat wing to go on an 07 RK Custom to put
on my bike but I love my cruse control and I like My
speed-o-metor right where it is at on the gas tank. I also
like the fact that because of the strike in 07 there are a lot
fewer 07s than 08s,09s, ect. ect. ect. which means my bike
may be worth more some day for my Son "not me cause I
will die befor I am through with it", but that is just me thinking
out loud.

The new frame and 103 is great, I came off a 06 with a 88" . Its night and day differance with both power and handleing. I ride fast and aggressive and catch myself getting a lil more comfortable in the bends that I would back off of on my old bike due to the wobble. You wont regret upgradeing.

I don't think the batwing on an RK will do much to change your cruise control or speed-O positon......

I love the way I can hit the turns on my 11 Street Glide. I have a 21" rim on the front, and even with that, I can hit the turns harder that most of my clubs older bikes. My passengers also comment that it rider very nice - their asses thank me, lol.

I'm reading quite a few posts about people saying they went from a old RK to a 2010+ SG, new frame, handing, etc. But the new RK's have all of that as well, except for the fairing.

I have a 09 flhp and a 11 Ultra. The roadking is my hotrod and the ultra is the cushy ride, really very different rides (handlebars, seat, weight, power to weight ratio). Just depends on how I want to ride that day. If I had to pick only one bike, it would be tough!

Oh man!! This thread is bad news!!! I've been eyeballing a 2012 black SG at my local dealer. Sat on it a bunch and really like what I see. My sales guy keeps offering me the chance to ride it but I turn him down every time. I know if I do rid it, its game over.

On the other hand, Ive only had my bike for just over a year. I've done a lot to it to make it stand out from the next RKC and its almost where I want it. It's got low miles (JUST turned 10k) and I don't have payments.

So THATS why I won't get on the SG at my local dealership....I have no will power!! LOL!!

Default RKC IMHO beats all....

Couldn't agree more. I have a '98 FLHRC-I, and have ridden both the '10 Glide and a '11 RKC. I personally don't like the big fairing as it gets in the way more than it helps, I think. The new RKC, with the larger engine, is just amazing! I took it up to 95 on a nice road, it was gentle and slick as glass! I'm going to take my '98 to 100K (2 more years) and either overhaul it or trade out for a new RKC....... The design, ride, and power means it's a keeper!
