Agitator vs. Anarchy vs. Roulette wheels
#22
Almost went with the chrome Agitators, but ended up with the Airstrikes.
I wanted to keep the 16 inch rear tire to keep the ride as comfortable as possible for the wife. She has some back problems.
Very satisfied with the Airstrikes. They are extremely easy to clean and I get compliments on them all the time.
Its amazing to me that a lot of people don't realize that they are Street Glide wheels that are chromed.

I went to a couple dealerships today to see the wheels first hand. Let me tell you that the pictures don't serve them justice. Actually seeing them for real helped me decide which I liked better.
Here's what I'm currently thinking.
Agitators - everyone has them. I want something as nice, but be different.
Roulette - Too many spokes
Chisel - Nice and I can keep my tires since they are the same size as my current wheels. However, don't like the way the spokes connect to rim. Like the way the rotor opens up the hub to see more of the wheel.
Anarchy - Very cool! I like the way the spokes curve down to the rim and how the edges of the spokes go out to the outer edge of the rim. This is much better than many wheels that just have the spokes connect at the center of the rim. But getting these means buying new tires too since they are 18 inch (will need a front tire soon anyway). Like the way the rotor is open around the hub so you can see more of the wheel.
I guess I'm leaning toward the Anarchy. However, I would still consider the Chisel if there is something I'm overlooking. One thing I wondered about was how the ride might change going from 17 front, 16 rear to 18 front and rear. Will there be any difference in handling or comfort of ride?

How much of a difference did you notice? Do they get hotter easier since they have less surface to dissipate the heat? Let me know more.

I'm getting a bad "pulsing" when I hard brake at any speed. Have been told it's from the polishing on the rotors being too slick of a surface, and that it would go away. After 1200 miles it is still there. I've tried new brake Harley brake pads, as the original ones were on it (the bike only had 200 miles on it when I had the new wheels installed), and changed one rotor out. I may try a different brake pad. I have a 1987 Electra Glide that stops better than my 2011 does.
