Default redshift 575 in a stock 2007 96 inch ?

OK, I was all set to put a Andrews 48H in and the local wrench wants me to go with the redshift 575. I have hi flow air cleaner, American Custom pipes no baffels and Thundermax tuner. It looks like a lot of cam for a stock build ? He claims it will be fine. Anybody have any experience with any thing close to this set up ? Thanks ...

Not with the 96 but 103. I'm running the T-Max auto tuner and Redshift 575's.

I have a 07 SG 96" with the redshift 575s, their tapered push rods, Thundermax with auto tune and fat cat 2 into 1. Dinoed 93hp and 99tq. I've had this setup for over 2 years and have never had a problem of any kind. Bike pulls hard and will cruise at 80 all day long. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't change a thing. Excellent bang for the buck.

Thanks Old Guy, makes me feel better knowing you are happy with that cam. I have read, in some posts, that they cause a lot of valve train noise? Any noticable noise ? Just one more thing. I know my bike is heavier and geared a little different but I was also wondering what kind of gas milage you are getting ? The intake opening is so much longer than other bolt in cams in its class, just wondering. I do like the fact that there is a map that will bring me pretty close after installation. As always, thank you for your time...

I think ya should look at cyclerama's cr 575. this cam rocks with pull from 1800-2000 to 5200 rpm.

It's not the big name cam ie: Andrews, reshift, crane, yadda yadda.

I have never heard of anybody running this cam that didn't love it.

I run Zippers Redshift 575's in my 08 Ultra 96" with Zippers hi-flow A/C, D&D Fatcats 2-1, TTS Mastertune and I re-geared it with a EVO 49T ring gear kit. Was a little tough to get the tune dialed in, but it runs great. I'm either going to go with a 103 with dished pistons and keep the same cam (which is considered Zippers sleeper 103) or swap out to Tman 555's when I go 103

I average 40mpg riding normally and 36 to 38 when I'm having fun! They come on strong from 1500 to 4000 rpm. They do make more valve train noise than stock. I have listened to other brands of cams that made more noise and didn't make the power these do. I don't find the valve train noise these make excessive but you may.

From the research I've done on cams lately before buying the SE-204's Roadrunner, I think that an intake close of 41 for the Redshift cams is too much for a stock compression 96, it would work but you'd be overcammed. I talked with Gary Walace at Andrews and for sure the 48h would be a better choice. It was either the 48h or the Eagle 204 and I went with the Eagles.
