Default 1998 Road King,Both rear turn signals flash?

First time Harley owner and forum user. I could sure use a little help on my 1998 Road King. When I turn on either left or right turn signal, both rears blink at same time. Fronts work properly. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have an aftermarket running light kit plugged into the circuit or is it completely stock?

Hummm...I would start with checking the basics.....bulbs, if the original flasher replace it, check the tail section wiring for any abnormalities like shorted wiring to include removing each bulb and inspecting the bulb sockets...in the interim others will chime in with other perspectives.

I have the kit and love it. I think you might as well go ahead and get it and follow the instructions. It will probably solve your issue at the same time as you'll find the culprit and fix it when installing the kit.
