Default I'd like to see a 120R....

I'd like to see a 120R with a 255 cam installed and my stock but ported throttle body....to see what kind of a low RPM stump puller could be had.

I like the idea of the big pistons and long stroke.....with my low RPM grunt cam. My 103 pulls so damn hard down low....that I'd love to have the extra torque that can be had from a longer stroke.

I guess you might be able to get an idea of how it would look if you did a comparison of 255' in 96, 103, and 110 applications. My guess is you would start to see diminished performance gains as the displacement grew.

I don't know what cams come in the SE120R, but if they are listed on the Big Boyz compression calculator you should be able to get an idea of what happens to compression with the switch. Might give you an idea what would happen to the tq curve.

Personally, I don't think it would be a good combo.

120R comes with 266 cams. I chased lower tq with the Tman cams and to be honest, the power comes on so fast with this motor that any attempt to try and move the tq to the left on a dyno chart is a waste of time. Power hits so fast that trying to find the sweet spot for tq is not worth it, this is a always on engine, want to pass at high rpms, it moves faster than you would expect, dont ever need to downshift to pass, any gear.
a smaller TB will suffocate the motor as will the wrong headpipe/exhaust, not a good idea. This motor is a winner out of the box. period.

in addition, the 255's have a way to early intake close to run with the 10.5 compression of the 120. As Eric said, this motor makes more that enough tq on the bottom end

Hey Joe,

Like Eric said, this thing just hauls. You actually don't want too much bottom end, as it has very drivable power at the parking lot speeds. As soon as its time to hit the road, she just goes. I feel bad riding 'er back and forth to work in city traffic. I should get a 'klunker' bike, and save her for real ridin.

In comparison, I test rode a 103 EG Limited in the Hill country / three sisters area last December. [weekend rental] The 103 that is soooooo sought after by so many, is a whipped dog. I have to admit, I regret the 120R, if only I won't be able to enjoy a 96 or 103 again... [sorry to be a p-r-i-c-k]

It is a lot of cash, and sure I sometimes wonder about the money aspect, but when I rip on it, it all makes perfect sense.

Lonewolf did the tune, and he kicked the 123 HP / 118 Tq that the dealer screwed up, and got 132 HP, and 131 Tq.

what would be interesting is a blower.

T-Man 662-1 will move it to the left nicely HPI 55mm w/5.3 injectors will bet you where you need to be.

The 662-1 are within 2-4 hp and torque to the stock 266 cams. Yes they do make alittle more down low but not worth the change.IMO

Theres a computer program that I would love to have that lays estimated dyno runs over each other to compare the curves. It allows you to install different components and from wht Ive read, its pretty darn accurate. Heres a about it:

http://performancetrends.com/Engine-Analyzer.htm

Heres a thread where a guy uses it:

http://www.****************/forums/t...qster-cam.html

Where the astrics are in the link above it should read v - twin forum dot com/forums/twin-cam--engine-mods/190776-tman-tr555-torqster-cam.html (no spaces)
