I'm in need of a good dust cover for my Ultra as I'm having to transport it inside an enclosed trailer that cannot be cleaned well enough to remove all the dust that has a covered bikes that I've hauled before in it. This bike is to well detailed & I don't want it trashed when I roll it out.
I'll need to be able to tie the bike down with it on. I know of Wally's but would like something better.

What do you guys use & where do I get one?

 

Depends how much you want to spend, HD has some nice ones and are expensive.
At the other end of the spectrum lots of people just pick up a cheap cover at wally world.
If you're going to be storing it some place that's not heated and has large temp swings,
make sure the cover you get breathes. Otherwise you'll be trapping moisture.

 

The Wolf brand ones at Wally World are as good as any of the other lightweight covers out there. Wolf makes nice products including car covers and nose bras. I'd just get the Wally World one for covering it in an enclosed, dusty trailer.

You're gonna laugh-but I bought a very good dust cover at Walmart-it appears to be the same as HD except without the logo. It was only $19.95 and saved me about $60 over the cheap HD cover. It works good and would cover a full dresser easy. It was cheap enough that it can be replaced every year if needed.

 

Just make sure you get one that is also good for covering at a motel/on a trip and such.

And, others say get one with a Honda logo on it so your scoot will be less likely to get stolen.

 

I hit a few stores but didn't see anything I trusted to not scratch so I'm going with some used cotton bed sheets. This will allow me to tie down the bike inside the trailer then like the Fabulous Thunderbirds band used to sing I'll...... "Wrap, wrap, wrap it up.......Baby!"

 

Fitted bed sheet works good as a dust cover.

 

I second Qball!! I have a nice set of flannel sheets. The fitted will wrap around the crash bars and the saddle bags and holds very nicely. Then the regular sheet will cover the entire front faring and fender. Very nice and cheep (just got them out of the closet)!

 

I trailered my bike last year to the " Vet's Recognition ride " in Cripple Creek as my girlfriend was not up to the trip on two wheels. I had the bike detailed nicely before we left only to be shocked when I rolled it out of my enclosed to find it was totally covered in a heavy dust. I'm thinking about cutting small openings into a a quality cover to allow tie downs to enter then duct tape around it to keep dust out. These openings could have velcro covered flaps for garage storage of the bike and not tied down.
