I hope it is not the case that you are waiting for the ABS light to go off after you turn on the engine. As the ABS light will not go off until the bike gets to certain speed, I believe it is 3 MPH, but I don't trust my old brain.
If it is the case, then it is normal!
Just rode to work, light didnt go out. Stopped, shut her down, same story, light didnt go out. Anyone know if removing all power (battery) from the system will reset it?

I have not had any problem with my bike (2010 limited), but I unplugged ALL the connectors the fairing, sprayed them with contact cleaner (Radio Shack), applied dielectric paste, and reconnected them.
I have 26k on my bike, and there is no electrical problem so far (knock on wood).
You only need to do once, and it's worth it!
My bike was doing that on and off for about a year and I found the connector for the ABS sensor by the steering neck was ziptied to something and pulling on the wires, I cut the ziptie and it took the pressure off of the wire and connector and the problem went away. I looked for this problem after finding a few other people had the same issue and some even had to replace the sensor or part of the wiring harness after being pulled so tight. Of course it was easy to get to on a RK, not so sure about a RG.
