I think upgrading to any of the Touring models equipped with a fairing will be an upgrade you won't regret in the least. With your rather large stature I'm sure you'll feel more at ease with a RG than any of the batwinged models. Congrats on your decision and good luck in your search for the "perfect" bike for yourself!!

Good bikes for bigger fellas. A lot more open feel than other bikes. Best of luck.

Dont buy one. Fairings dont move. You cant turn them. Plus the radio is too far away. What if you are going down street doing 40mph. Its nearly impossible to change out a CD. Buy a Street glide you wont have all these problems

But on a serious note. Let me help you out. You need a Tall boy seat. 09's with big tank will make you feel very intimate with you bike. Extend shifter and move out floor board and extend or change out mirrors

Just rode a friend's RG yesterday and it was real cool they block a lot more wind then the SG. It seemed like the fairing was way out there kind of like a Goldwing feel. He's over 6' and he feels it fits him better then the SG. That's why they make different models both very cool bikes .... with the SG being just a little bit more cool on the badass side
