Default 50,000 miles and I have questions

I have a 2015 FLHTK that is going to hit the 50,000 mile mark on my next service around it’s 3 yr birthday. I’m wondering what if anything needs to be inspected or replaced on the engine to keep it healthy. I’ve been running Mobile1 V-Twin, Primary+ and Bel-Ray 85/140 since new. Runs and sounds like a new bike just want to keep it strong for another 50,000 and yes my goal with this bike is 100,000+ miles.

My '15 RGS just rolled over 50k. Here are my suggestions:

1. If you haven't yet replaced both wheel bearings, do it. You're on borrowed time.
2. If you haven't had your front steering head bearings inspected/serviced/replaced, do it.
3. Current recommendation is to flush ABS systems every two years. I haven't done it yet, but I probably will.

Change the fuel filter if it hasnt been changed in the last 20,000. The plugs if over 25,000. But honestly you shouldn’t need anything else besides what’s been mentioned

What does your owners manual say you need? On my '09 in addition to the standard 10k stuff every 50k is a fuel filter (every 25k for the filter) and fork oil. I'm religious about my brake fluid every 2 years.

Regular maintenance has always been up to date or ahead of schedule. That’s not what I’m concerned about. The manual didn’t tell me to change the wheel bearing but that has been done twice, the manual did not tell me to change the compensator but that has been done twice also. I’m looking for weak points that will fail on the engine that can be prevented if caught in time. I don’t want to be across country and boom it goes.

Just because I'm paranoid, inner cam bearings and lifters, motor mounts and heim joints every 50K.

Sounds like you have everything covered! Much else and we will be speculating.

FueL Filter may not be a bad idea but the schedule says 100K. Front forks should be rebuilt.

Had an '02 Heritage ignition switch go bad right at 50,000 miles. Tried to start it, wouldn't start till I wiggled the switch around a bit. Burned contacts.

Fuel filters are $20. Also the early fuel filter shells are known to crack and lose pressure. I have been stranded once and had to limp home at low speed another time. They are a 30 minute quick change and good piece of mind.
