Default I am confused about my air cleaner

I have an 04 Road King that I bought used last year. Original owner had a stage 1 SE Air cleaner installed when the bike was new, or newish anyway. I can't figure out exactly what it is. I would think it should be 29773-02C, but mine doesn't look like the picture in the SE parts book. Mine has a separate mounting bracket that attaches the backplate to the heads. It also has the two "S" shaped rubber breather hoses that come through the backplate and point in toward the throttle body. The picture in the catalog has the hoses that look like tadpoles. The one in the book that looks like what I have is 29543-99B and is listed for '93-'99 carbed Evos. My bike is an 04 TC EFI. The description says the filter is state of the art synthetic washable doesn't need oiling, etc. At first glance, I thought mine was a K&N, and it looks like it has been oiled at some point, but I think now based on what I've read that it is probably actually the 29442-99 that everyone says is junk. The metal part on the filter has a bar and shield logo on it and says for HD twin cam covers only, or something like that. What exactly do I have here?

Looks like a standard SE air filter to me. Clean it, no oil, and put it back on, and Ride, ride ride.

I think that's the old style that used a balance tube between the heads instead of direct from each head. if it runs well--don't worry about it.

I found the invoice from the installation. The original owner kept everything and passed it along to me. It is a 29773-02A. There are two individual breather hoses, one from each head. It does run well, and I'm not really concerned about it. The only reason I was trying to figure it out in the first place, is because I don't know if that is a K&N filter or a knockoff. It doesn't say K&N anywhere on it. Does anyone know for sure if that air cleaner came with a K&N in 2004?

It looks just like mine, I have an SE filter that was installed in 07. I do not believe that it is a K&N, theirs is a different color.

sorry to hijack the thread.. does that filter make a lot of noise? i have the same one(except square bore for an 2001 88" double barrel MM efi) when i put it on, it sounds like an industrial vacuum. the intake noise drowns out the exhaust

the HD round 5 screw cover for the football cover, fits rite on that filter. it looks pretty good

Be careful about the oil/no oil issue. I think the 'no oil' filters state that on the filter.
You'd do well to replace any 'no oil' filter with a good K&N oil type. My SE 'no oil' filter developed a few holes after about a year of service. Never had that issue with a K&N.
