Default Conversion to air

Also, how about a video on Youtube of it of it actually working that would be awesome as well as a step by step guide I would be willing to pay for the guide.

Thanks

Yes I would like to see photos of this conversion as well. As I have the Harbor Freight life and would love to convert it to air, and as well to put the side panels on it to make the top of the lift wider. Would you be interested in explaining what you did for the conversion?

ultrapilot2003, Were you able to come up with a "how to" for the rest of us? I definitely would appreciate it. My stock pump died and I'd love to convert it to air/hydraulic.
Thanks!

Well, after lurking about here for a year I went ahead and took the plunge...got a HF lift table and the upgraded chock. I had a hoist in my previous shop, now will try this for my Ultra, Dyna and Triumph. Will let the group know of any kinks or ?? as it works out.

OK, dredging up an old thread here that didn't seem to get resolved for some. The hydraulic pump on my HF lift gave up after less than 3 years of very limited use. I could get a new pump from HF for about $100, but it's coming from China and looking at 6-10 weeks to ship.
After digging up this thread I went out and took my lift table apart. I'd like to convert to air with the HF air hydraulic pump mentioned in this thread. http://www.harborfreight.com/10000-p...ump-98318.html
Figured I could always grab one with a 20% off coupon. What I'd like to know is what fittings will be needed and what exactly did Ultrapilot have to tap?
Here are a couple photos of the disembodied hydraulic unit. Removed from the lift table and the outer jacket removed as I saw in photos in this thread.

Seeing that this topic came up short on specifics to converting this lift to air, I poked around and came up with another solution. Simply replacing the whole hydraulic unit and adding an air foot pedal. Here are the parts:
http://www.redlinestands.com/catalog...ic-pump-p-1151
http://www.redlinestands.com/catalog...t-pedal-p-1435
Sure, now I've got another $250 into a lift table that I got for $299 at HF. But it'll be an easier fix with higher quality parts than original. And besides, I've got the table so might as well fix it instead of buying something else and keeping the HF model for a boat anchor.

Is this something you have already done?

Thanks,
Rick
