Smart Siren II RECHARGEABLE Pager: is battery replaceable?
(This is the narrow one where the all the LED lights are vertical, not the one that looks like a small two-way radio.)
I see no reference to being able to replace the battery in this unit. Anyone know if the battery is replaceable? Or, do I just throw away an $80 piece of HD equipment? I almost cannot believe that anyone would spend this much money on a unit whose battery cannot be replaced. (Of course I did.) But, HD has come up with dumber ideas for sure, so why not this one too?
Thank you.

Old thread but I managed to change the battery. Search for battery 502030 3.7v on Ebay and use a stiff guitar plectrum to open backside of pager (not the front with leds) cut, connect and solder black and red battery wires, Isolate solder area and click backcover in place and you have a functional pager again...

Another reason I'd heard from owners of both battery operated and rechargeable to go battery. I'm sure there are reasons for the rechargeable but it sure is easy to keep an extra battery in the Tour-Pak. Saves lugging a charger on trips and having to perform micro-surgery.
Glad you're able to save it and not have to start over though!!!
