Overheating at 50 degrees?
Hey guys, needs some input. Was out riding yesterday and got caught on a 10 mile stretch of road where there is a traffic light every mile, and it was lunch hour traffic. At about mile 7, when sitting at a light, the bike started going into parade mode. It ran fine when I would take off, but at the next light, while waiting for all the cars to make their turns, etc.,. it would do it again.
My motor is stock, with the stock headpipe (and CAT) on it. The humidity was high, and there was very little breeze if any. But still... at 50 degrees??? I've had it do it only one other time and that was this past summer and the temp was 113.
It hasn't thrown any codes that I know of, and it ran fine the rest of the day, once I got on the highway. Anyone think something is wrong? Or just one of those weird "Harley moments"???

It sounds like the EITMS, which shuts down the rear cylinder at idle when the engine reaches a certain temperature. If you want to turn that feature off, turn the ignition to "on", but don't start the engine. Roll the throttle to full closed position and hold it for 5 seconds. The process is the same to turn it back on.
