Default Sedona Orange...aftermarket paint?

Anyone with Sedona Orange had any luck with a body-shop or aftermarket paint matching it up? I was going with a painted inner fairing for my RGC but HD want's around $1100.00 here in Canada for it. I have also installed some component speakers in my fairing already so it has been cut etc. so used it isn't worth anything. Anyone I have have talked to in the paint field claims it is very difficult to match and I haven't even checked on the paint from HD. If anyone has painted Sedona would you have a paint code or company. Thanks in advance

I recently sold a pair of Hogg Chopp lower to a guy on another forum who had a Sedona Orange Roadglide. He posted that the Colorite paint was almost a perfect match on the Chopps

Thanks. Will ck it out. Im thinking that if the inner fairing isn't a 100% match you wouldn't notice it as much as say a fender or lowers, that is why I went with the HD color matched lowers. But the cost of the painted inner fairing is nuts!!

Because the inner fairing has no flat surfaces other then the glove box doors, A slight color difference wouldnt be that noticeable

painting is one of those skills that are gifts, it seems only a few can really do it right, that holds especially true when it comes to getting the right color match.

You could always two-tone the inner fairing.

Call Bret Mcginley at mcginley motorsports and chat him up. they have a website. He is in Bozeman, Montana and your in canada so i understand shipping is probably out of the question but he is a good dude and might be able to give you the correct mix. I bought the HD Paint for $135 and I couldnt get that junk to match. Sedona Orange is a 3 stage paint and the HD paint only comes as a single stage. No way it would ever match perfectly.

piesik650...nice looking cycle!! I never would have thought about painting the mid-frame air deflectors. Looks real sharp, and the tank console as well. Im taking it from your sig that the consol is a PM item. You drop your front end before the 21" went on? The only reason I ask is I have the chrome front end in the box ready to go on when I pull the inner fairing for paint, but I have put longer shocks on the back so I am thinking stock height on the forks will work with a 21" ok + Im going with monotubes which I have heard drop is slightly. Sorry for all the questions, and again, nice lookin' ride!

-1" in the front and 13" shocks in back instead of the normal 12"s leveled it right out. PM fuel door but the dash is the stock HD one. just told him I wanted it painted and it got done. lol

PPG makes the paint for Harley.

PPG paint code is a G3
# 9 27 385

Most PPG dealers do not have the ability to mix the color but they can buy it direct from PPG already mixed in the quantity you need. For me it was a perfect match. Just make sure that you mix the living chit out of it, and then mix it some more.
