Default Khrome Werks sweeper 2+2

Anyone have experience with these new bars. Their website indicates that you only need a longer clutch cable. Just wondering about the brake line and if I will also need to extend the control wires. Not planning on internal wiring. I am going to replace the TBW to get rid of the green connector.

Thanks

If they are only 2 inches taller i think you can get away with the stock brake line, throttle, and wires (shouldnt have a problem because those bars dont have internal wiring). Some bars are a little different but a lot of guys are getting away with stock cables on 10" apes (4" taller than stock). Sometimes if its close you just have to spend some time re-routing and double checking that they clear when you turn the bars.

Yea they are 2" higher and 2" more pull back. I know guys are getting by with the regular +2's, just wondering about the extra 2" taller. Can't remember how much play there is in the upper brake line. Want to have all the stuff on hand, so I can do the swap in a day. I agree that there is probably enough inside the faring for moving the wires around.

Thanks for the reply.

Have them installed on a 12 RG. Both the clutch and brake cables reach with no modification. I did reroute the clutch through the nacelle. Not sure I'm happy with this, so I may go for a +4 clutch to put it more in the stock position.

Does anyone know if these will work with a 2002 Ultra? I know they're notched for the TBW; will that make a difference since i don't have that?

I have them on mine. Standard cables but the clutch cable is routed to where it would cause the wind deflector (that plastic $30 part) that attaches to the top of the crash bar to come off. I just removed that part for now

Sorry....i was thinking I was on the road glide forum....if you have a batwing my info is useless

Are you asking about KW 300515 bars? These are the +2" height bars. I went with +4" clutch cable to route the same as stock. I also used a Barnett tbw extension to be safe. It would have worked with stock length tbw but it would have been a bit snugger......

Thanks to all. I intend to use a +4 Clutch cable and the Longer TBW without the green connector. Was mainly worried about the upper brake line, I have ABS. Sounds like I am good. Hope they do the trick because i need about 2" higher and farther back. It is the 300517 bar from khrome werks. For the question about notched or not, I believe they have both available, check out the new products section of the khrome werks website.

Oh sure... Oh well, the key for me was the pullback. The additional +2" would be interesting. Certainly use the TBW extension. Wonder how tight that brake line will be? KW should know......

I just ordered the 2+2 Wide Sweepers today for my Street Glide. I may go with some braided cables but depends on cost. Will keep ya posted.
