I changed the belt on my RKC. I hurt it towing a heavy trailer to Sturgis in 10, not too bad to do. If you're handy with tools and like doing that kind of stuff.. Good Luck

I blew my belt at 35k.....
First Belt Change - 6 hours - Second time 2 hours - look up my threads
All In Service Manual
1.) Remove Mufflers yes both
2.) Remove Rear Tire
3.) Remove Outer and Inner Primary's - Make sure you have a 150 pound
Torque wrench - to remove
Compensator / Stator nut
4.) Put small Jack under Tranny for Support - it's going to drop if ya don't
5.) Remove "Rear Fork" Swing Arm Bolt - listed as Rear Fork in Service
Manual it's a swing arm
6.) Remove Swing Arm - sorry Harley - Rear Fork
Replace: Belt , ALL Inner Primary Bolts/Seals - Gaskets , Replace Inner
Primary Bearing $ 30 these go out all the time, check Stator
NOTES: Use Blue lock tight on ALL nuts / Bolts - Torque to spec all bolts..
Compensator Nut - Install at 70ft.pounds trq. back off ,
tighten xxx Ft.pound trq. AS IN THE SERVICE MANUAL
Good time to consider:
SE Compensator , a better Stator while in there, Replace Fork / Swing Arms Bushings http://www.sta-bo.com/id2.html
Could have been a 1 person job, but a GF with a beer and a confident smile, "...I know you can do it honey,," helps a lot

Can't tell you how many times I've looked at my tool - and skill! - set with the same resignation.
I also weigh out that even if I can eventually do a job myself - over 14 weekends! - is it really worth the down time?
Ride safe,
Murph
