Passing lamps on mod for free w/pics
No cutting, no splicing, no parts to buy, no body pieces to remove. Just changing the position of 2 wires in the switch panel connector. I've done this on several bikes with no issues. My personal bike has 37k like this. Spots will stay on independent of high or low beam. Spot switch works normally. The Acc switch will now only work when the headlight is on low beam. First you need to find the switch panel connector. Should be under the right side of the switch panel

Gently work the connector down until you can push the latch button in and unplug it

The wires you want to relocate are the yellow and the orange w/ red stripe located on one end of the connector.

Release the locks on the wire side of the connector. Use a paper clip in the terminal side of the connector to release the wire. Pull out on the wire to remove from the connector. Remove the yellow wire and put the orange w/red wire in that location. Put the yellow wire in where the orange w/red wire was removed. http://
Close the locks and plug the connector back together. Tuck the harness back up in the switch cap. Now the spots should stay on independent of headlight position. May not be legal in all 50 states but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

chit yeah! I knew there had to be a way to do that with out all the slicing and dicing the other threads have been talking about. Traded my 2010 FLHTC in yesterday for a 2012 FLHTC. While I was at the dealership finalizing the deal, I was looking for that $29 harness. Glad I didn't find it! As soon as all my mods are finished, I'll get it home and do some mods myself. This being one of them. Great write up and pictures DuraGlide... Thanks...

Unfortunately for me White Ice has hit my problem on the nose....
and that's why I bought and installed the harness from the Moco..
BUT - an ingenious and tremendous method for those who don't...
