How hard is it to change the fork oil on a 2005 Ultra

cant be that bad? once I heard someone bitchin about a costum bike that had no drain hole and he had to use a sifen to remove old fluid and then save and measure old fluid to figure out how much to replace.

So you see that the forks are kind of a PITA, as you need a compression tool, stroke rod (To purge out cartridge fluid), shim wedge, etc......

Sure, you could just drain out the fluid that is in the fork slider, and replace it, but you will still have contaminated fluid in the cartridge.....

It takes a while just to get at the top of the fork legs to refill the tubes.Make sure you cover the front fender with something soft and absorbent.I have heard you can refill through the drain hole.Without putting some sort of a shut-off valve in,it would be next to impossible to do it that way.
