I have the XMP3i installed on the Kuryakyn fuel door. All wiring goes down through the fuel door, past the gas cap and out under the tank for a clean install.

 

What is the part number for the adaptor for the Harley radio.

Not sure what adaptor your asking about but the one I used as others mentioned is called an "FM Direct adaptor" and it is made by Sirius. About $15 from Amazon. No overpriced Harley plug or widget is needed.

I have my MP3 on the handlebars & wired into the AUX port. works great. My siris has 3 mounts, car, truck, house. I was planning on putting a mount on ultra handlebars, cig lighter for power and into the AUX port. Any reason this will not work?

 

What kinda money are we talkin here? I like this idea.

It will work. Not the neatest setup but probably the cheapest.
I had a old starmate receiver that was disconected which I mounted with a old gps ram mount I stuck the antenna on top of my inner fairing with a peice of 2 sided tape, plugged it in to cig lighter, snaked the wires thru the grommet that all the wires come thru and tucked the excess wire down by the forks with some zip ties. Total cost = $25.00 for 6 month subscription.

Not sure if this qualifies but I downloaded the xm app for my Iphone 4s and just stick it in my saddle bag connected to my Iron Cross Ipod adapter to the radio. Works good but I'm sure I lose the signal more than an actual xm set up would. Just another option, and cheap if you already have a smart phone. Just need to add the computer listening to your subscription if you already have one in your car. Its like another $3 a month and you might need unlimited data for your phone. Options, Options, Options!!!
