Lightbulb Jim's introduces new Forceflow Cyl Head Cooler

This was just posted on the Motorsports Newswire. Priced similar to the HD unit, so I'd have to be convinced it is a better product than the LeNale fan before I purchased. I have no affiliation with Jim's, just saw the announcment this morning. Maybe it is the R&D involved with producing these units, but I still don't understand why these cooling fans are so expensive.

I like the look, hate the price. pretty slick looking unit, especially since it contains the horn inside.

I like the looks of the lenale fan better and the price is better also. Been running the lenale fan for three years now. Works for me.

I think $420 is all the money (and then some) for a harley engine fan.

For about half that amount my Lenale fan works great! I spent $70 on a chrome Stebel air horn. Then I had a louder horn and still saved >$100!

Looks like a nice unit but V twins have been doing fine without cooling devices for quite a long time now. I have other things to spend money on. If it makes Y'all like em and gives you peace of mind that is your prerogative.

A member here on the forum is building another version which I'm told is priced along the same lines as the Lenale.

Yes, and I'm #39 on his waiting list. Good looking and much less expensive. My 2011 RKC 103 w/ SE 204, AC, Jackpots runs pretty hot even with spot on (open loop) tune. EITMS in town guarenteed if the temp is north of 75 deg. No wonder oil cooler was standard equipment on my scoot. These bikes are getting hotter. I have owned an 88, a 96, and now the 103. Fan is worth it IMO.

Sweet looking unit. Ya it's a bit salty but it is about the same as a Jagg 10 row oil cooler with fan assist and the oil filter adapter. Once the part distributors get ahold of it and discount it shouldn't be too bad at all. It also looks to be a quality unit. A fan that is used for cooling NASCAR brakes I would think is proven and would be quality. I'll be waiting to see.

Yep! Even better than an infrared measurement - here's what a LeNale fan will do for you with the measurement taken directly from the engine temp sensor in the front head.

These things work!
