Default Install CC on 06 SG

Working on putting CC on my 06 SG and wanted to start and share my own experience and thread. Below is a parts list. These parts are listed for the 04 FLHT/C/CI Ultra. You can get the instructions from the stealer. Its kit number 77196-04. I think that should be all I need but will add and delete parts as I go. Some things that I learned that you should know. The scoot is already hard wired for CC. The parts that I bought will plug in the existing connectors. The audio **** and the switch are smaller to fit in the lower housing so I had to buy some parts for the lower housing. This should be a straight forward install but might take several hours. I just got my scoot back together (new paint, chrome lowers and sliders, new chrome wheels and some other things, so im going to put this CC on one piece at a time over a few weeks. Have to get some saddle time in. I will take pics and TRY to post them. I estimate that this should cost me about 755 bucks. Thats alot of dough but CC rocks so im biting the bullet and going for it. This system does NOT require a flash. It is driven off of a stepper cable and as long as u adjust the lash you will be ok.
Off to the stealer to get parts. Here is a parts list. May and prob will change as i go along but after alot of research this should be real close.

part number description cost
71513-98 cruise control switch 57.98
11497 stepper motor grommet X3 7.50
7499 cruise flang nut X3 4.50
11193 retaining ring .50
70345-84 harness retainer 1.50
56372-98 stepper cable 31.75
71825-96A set/resume **** 6.50
71822-98 audio(mode) **** 8.90
70375-96 lower bracket(for housing) 5.50
2955 6-32 PAN .250 screw X1 1.50
2559 6-32 PAN .750 screw X1 1.50
71787-08 audio switch 59.99
70989-04 CC module 402.00
71788-08 CC switch 59.99
56358-02 Ilder cable 43.50
I have chrome housings so i had to buy the following part
71612-96 chrome Ultra lower switch housing 53.90

First thing I did was install the CC rocker switch that mounts in the ignition cap. Removed seat, tank console, ignition and ignition cap. You can unplug the CC rocker switch w/o removing the outer fairing. Just reach ur hand under the handle bars and unplug it. There is a button on one side, just push it in and the plug comes off. Remove the blank and AUX assembly from the cap. Remove the blank from the frame. Install the CC rocker switch on the frame. Feed the wires through the frame and snap in the CC rocker switch. Now its time to put the pins in the correct hole. Pry open both sides of the connector. The pins need to be pushed in the same way that all the other ones are. Look in the end and compare the pins and that will give u an idea. Orange/violet wire goes into slot 4. Push it in all the way until it snaps in. You can feel and hear it when its in all the way. Red/green goes into slot 5 and black/green goes into slot 12. The rocker switch already has the pins crimped on from the stealer. Now close the connector ends to secure all of the pins. You will have another black/green wire that already has a connector on it. It is not used so i just taped it off with electrical tape. Reinstall the assembly in the cap. Install cap and hook up the connector. To check that the install was good, turn scoot to ignition and both the CC and AUX switches should light up. Know look on ur speedo and the CC light should come on. May have to start scoot. Reinstall everything else and the 1st step is done. Have some parts on order and im riding tonight so thats all i got for now. I now this sounds like alot of work but i listed this very specific. Good luck as i need some also.
