FLHTK Detach Tour Pak - Lower Seat Options

FLHTK Detach Tour Pak - Lower Seat Options
I had a Detach Kit installed on my 2012 FLHTK. I'm short (5'8"), and the stock seat push's me closer to tank and BUT allows my feet to "almost" be flat to ground. The stock seat without Tour Pak looks giganitic. To get a slimmer looking seat without tour pak on...I purchased a Sundowner Deep Seat. While that seat allowed me to sit back away from tank better, it also raised me up enough that I'm nearly using tip toes at stop.
Will a 2012 Stock Street Glide Seat or Stock Road King Seat fit on my Electra Glide? And will it lower me down enough to have flat feet to ground when stopped?
Any other suggestions for lower seat...I don't think reduced reach seats will do...because it tends to move you closer to tank.
I'm not looking for solo seat...when tour pak is removed I need a passenger seat with some comfort for wife...I have a passenger backrest for her that I add when tour pak is removed.

09 FLHTC ( same frame as you) with 2010 streetglide seat;
the 2011+ streetglide seat has a narrower nose at the tank and more pillion seat padding- so maybe not as sleek, but more comfort back there.
the 09+ streetglide shocks are an easy swap onto your bike and will lower the rear about 1", which may help for stops- although 30% of the shock travel is lost, so harsher ride.
I use the SG shocks in town and swap to stock shocks when touring

If you feel you must be flat footed (you shouldn't have to but it seems to be the thing nowadays), you can see about having the seat cut down. Mean City Cycles is well known on the forums for doing a nice job. I am old school and flat footing has never been something I felt I needed until the last few years my knees have become shot. Flat footing the bike gives me a bit more confidence with these bad knees.
What I have recently done was to have my Road Glide seat shaved down 1 1/2 inches at a local upholsterer that specializes in hot rods and custom motorcycle seats. I also replaced my 13 inch shocks with the 12 inch shocks like those on the Street Glide. Between the two I can feel the ground much better and it seems to be less stress on the knees.

Have a custom seat made!
Check out Bitchen Rich's custom seats. bitchenseats.com. Rich made my custom seat for my FLHX. LOVE IT! Not only is it custom built to help me with my short legs and get flat footing (5'7), he also made it specifically to help my *** since I have a tail bone problem and long rides are a painful event... Ehr that was until he made me a new seat that is! I'll upload some images of my new seat made outof Stingray! Check out the garage with before and after shots... I went through two harley seats before ponying up the duckets to get a real seat!

Early on I put on the Mustang Lowdown and it does sit nicely lower. Some people commented it moved them forward, but wasn't a problem for me. For me the problem was ride comfort. Foam too thin and wasn't comfortable for me. GF on the back liked it though. I went with Mustang Wide touring. It's up a bit but not bad. I also lowered front and rear when I bought it, HD parts, but hated shocks. After a few K went with progressive 940 which give the ride height of 12" but rebound of 13". Done with magic and mirrors and different spring set-up
