Maybe because they can only afford the front. I say do what your pocketbook will let you.

If that's your bike in your sig picture I can't tell what wheel you have on the rear. Is it stock or custom? Hell I have an air ride on the rear and when it's slammed you only see maybe the wheel lip.

One really good thing about buying just a front wheel. If you ever want to change you only have to buy 1 not 2. That's how I feel. It's my money if I want to buy just a front and it's your money if you want to buy both.

I don't see the point in putting a nice wheel on the back since, with my bike lowered, you can't see it. Walmart?

Hell I have a whitewall in the front but a blackwall in the back, less to clean!

Why change wheels at all? Bike not shiny enough? I dont get it... You cant see the wheels when you are on it anyhow. Changed wheels means it spends too much time parked?

i can understand "regular" guys taking this route... hey, we all have a budget....
the thing that makes me scratch my head are these bike that are TOTALLY over the top, but still running a stock back wheel.
By my recollection i think in the last 6 months 2 or 3 of the cover bikes on BAGGERS magazine are were running stock back wheels..
The CAMTECH bike feature a while back being one of them... REALLY? that bikes has to have somewhere in the neighborhood of $50,000 grand into it (conservatively)..with a raked neck and a 26" rollin' up front.... and a stock rear???

Well said, people do different things to there bikes for different reasons, it's up to the owner of the bike as to what makes them happy. Sometimes it's for financial reasons, sometimes preference, what ever the reason, it is what it is.
