You've done the right thing by getting a power commander...
Question: Did you disconnect the O2 sensors? They must be disconnected in order for the PC to operate properly.

The reason I say that is because the temp is still way too high for AFR of 14.0.

Keep workin at it and let us know what you come up with.

If he's using the auto-tune add-on, then he should be using the supplied WB sensors. That much I do know. But, not being familiar with power commanders in general, I don't know if you leave them installed permanently. I would guess that you do, if it's going to be constantly 'tuning' your bike 'while you ride'.

My 09 run hot too. I put an Oil Bud Cooler on it. Biggest area of cooling there is and most expensive, but that was an issue I thought that I needed to address and the OBC addressed it.

They(OBC) guarantee a 35 degree temp drop and it does that and then some.

The next thing I did was add cams and then have it dyno-ed and that helped drop the temp even a bit more.
That would be a good base map for your new auto tuner to work off of.

Sounds like a faulty gauge.

The HD gauges are known to be faulty, but the McEwan gauges that you cannot get anymore are not.

My local dealer service department said that it is not unusual
that the 96's and the 103's are running this hot.

Replace your head pipe or gut your cat, get a new map & watch your temperature plummet!

Did the 09's have a cat? I know mine did not. Maybe the CA models did.

I would say bad guage or sending unit. My temps are alot cooler and I know my guages are reading correctly. I am running Stage I, Synthetic oils, and a oil cooler.

Are the high reading the result of highway or city riding?

I don't care for the HD temp guage. Heard good things about this guage: Parts4PowerToys

We have 3 fuel injected bikes and do run Power Commanders on all 3.It definitely helped with the performance and did bring the temps down some however..If you need to get your seat of the pants temp down you may want to check out our crotch coolers as they work very well.If we can answer any questions just email us or give us a call,Thank you Larry
