Default What seat to buy

I just bought a 2012 roadglide ultra So far i like the bike fairly well however I can only ride about 200mi before my tail bone starts to hurt.
The bike i came off off was a yamaha fjr (sport touring) and on road trips it was comon for me to log between 500-750mi / day there is no way i can get anywhere near that with the road glide I did just over 300 today and an hour later i still cannot set back on the sofa without pain at my tail bone.

Suggestions Please

Call Allen @ mean City cycles, he does custom seat mods to stock seats at a great price. He'll know exactly what you need and has a great rep. I received my seat back from them about a month ago and I love it.

H-D re-designed all the touring seats in 2011, much to the dismay of many. I think the idea was to get vertically challenged folks onto a touring motorcycle, so they made them so you can get your boot on the ground easier by cutting off some of the seating area (I think). I have a 2011 Electra Glide Classic with the same seat as you have and I'm not particularly fond of it. I'm thinking of getting the new style H-D Hammock seat or a Mustang seat. They put the Hammock seat on the CVO's. I've had a Mustang seat before, so I know they're a great seat.

I have a Mustang that I love, if I decided to change or want to make it different I'd be calling Mean City.

Good freakin luck. My stocker's foam is worn out. Tried a Corbin: fits your butt like a glove, but hard as a brick, and your ol lady better have an a$$ the size of a 16 year old or she will be unhappy also. Tried a Mustang: sets me up a coulpe inches higher and also quite firm. Not as bad as the Corbin, but mighty firm. Tried a Sundowner: better, but set me back farther and is still kinda firm for the little woman. Next step is maybe having the stocker re worked, although I have never been too happy with it either. Maybe I'm lookin for something that does not exist or I am just too damn picky.

Mean City Cycles is the way I went after trying the Mustang
and the Ultimate seats prior, I had the double memory foam
and they re-positioned me to where I requested. I am very
happy with mine, give Allen a call as stated before and describe
what you are thinking and I bet he can help you out.
