Question Xied question and effect on CAT. converter

Read a lot of good threads RE: the Xied install.....cooler running temps....a little more power, etc.

Just wondering.....if adding more fuel (richer) what effect it will eventually have on the catalytic converter. Engine will be running cooler.....will the Cat still work the same?

Just curious......

I know if the CAT. gave out....just put on new head pipes anyhow.....

Default

the change in AFR is from 14.7:1 to 14.2:1, which is just enough to provide some heat relief. a lot of folks are running AFR's as low as 13.2:1 and no problems with sensors or cats.
