Fosgate 4 channel amp is in..I have a component set of speakers, but a tweeter pod that I would use instead. The tweeters as they are have no need for amplification, so I'm wondering if I could use the crossovers from the component set prior to the amp, run the tweeter straight from the crossover to the tweeter pod, and run the woofer out of the crossover to the amp then to the 6.5's in the fairing with the amp switched to low pass with good results?

 

You can use the Y-harness incldued with the HT Hogpod to by-pass the amp. Or you could wire the amp and Hogpod (with the component tweeters replacing the HT tweeters) if you like.

you can by pass the amps for the tweets, if you want , but don't use LP . The reason is its going be a sub speakers, any subs. need a tight box . or band pass box , to make solid sounds. also , bass is not a sound its called Vibrations , put your amp crossover to off position. and adjust the frequency setting . to your listening pleasure. good luck

 

If you have component speakers chance are those tweeters are far better than the hog tune tweeters. Why would you want to degrade your system by using the hog tune tweeters? If you have one inch component tweeters than just pop out the pod tweeters and put the new ones in and set the system up like you should.

 

Thanks guys..1 didnt even thing of keeping the hog tunes splitter in doh! 2 reason I was going to keep the tweeter pod originally was the speakers I have are two ohm..And if I could have I was just going to pick up a set of mid bass drivers like fosgates new pps4-6 and keep the tweeter pod as is and just sell the components or throw them in the car
