120R Questions
#81
I have a 120r. AFter a rain storm or two, I put it on Doc's Dyno. Got 118hp and 124tq.
NOW... If I had cleaned the AF, would have been bigger. (Doc is a friend and we were just screwing around, etc... this was NOT a tune but a tug with my own tune in there for the most part).
Sure, that dumbass mechanic got 103 with stock AC, Stock exhaust AND.... stock TB (otherwise a football will NOT fit a SE 58 TB.)... so to have a stock AC the stock TB needs to go with it.
HPI DOES make a nice 55mm out of a stock TB. I Have the SE 58. A Boss pipe and that's it... never opened the motor just threw it in the bike. 100% stock 120R.
All that SE clutch talk is BS too. You will WANT a Primo Rivera Pro Clutch or a Bandit Sportsman, nothing else will hold the slip that can be seen on a dyno.
All of these 125 sq numbers are REAL, and NOT some number set by ONE tuner with a combo that cannot be repeated by anyone else.
No one, nobody, none of you guys know squat about REAL everyday numbers... repeatable numbers. 125sq... all day long on ANYONE'S damn dyno with a 120r, or look at a 107 'kit', that someone is desperately trying to sell and look at the BS sheets, that ONLY get posted when the 1 ina million combo is on the wheel.
Vendors that post astronomical numbers for their 'kits' have a vested interest in ONLY posting the numbers that are the best they have ever seen. ( So the SHEEP on this site can follow along and truly be unknowing). Let me tell ALL you guys... I have HAD 107s, and now have a 120r. Up to 3k... same difference, but there will be NO frigging 107 that can shift from 5th to 6th at 6000 and simply keep going like a 120 can, NO manipulating numbers here... REAL facts with the butt dyno. 3-6500 rpms is scarey fast in like 2nd through 5th.
Cheapest recipe: 120R from one of the discount 20% off dealers like TriCounty. SE 58 TB, SE injectors, Pro Clutch, new comp, decent exhaust and thats a guaranteed 125sq. on ANYONE'S wheel and not just one.

What I found with my lil 107" is that with TDs I got the same power as with the 2-into-1 I now have. It was the low/mid range torque that suffered with the TDs, I get about 15% more with the 2-into-1. Both systems set up by the same tuning shop. My motor is much smoother running with the 2-into-1, which was a surprise I must admit, I far prefer it even though the TDs sounded great!
