Get a Rockford fosgate PBRx300 2 channel if just changing fairing speakers and a set of 6.5 speakers and that's the best for the bucks your looking to spend. Amp is about $150-$160 on eBay and check amazon for speakers. U can pick up a good set for under $150

Just got a Arc Audio MPAK 6 kit. Arrived today, so I havn't been able to install it yet, (had to cut the grass, can you imagine that?), anyhow, the kit comes with a 125w x 2 amp, their new 6 1/2" moto 602 speakers, speaker adapter mounting rings, wire harness, etc.,
From what I've heard, it's supposed to be a great setup! I will keep you posted! I got a great deal on it, with shipping, -$550.
I switched the stock speakers to the new Hog Tunes speakers as soon as I got my bike,(2010). Also added the dyna mat inside the fairing, & while the sound was o.k., it just didn't have the clear, clean, sound I was looking for when I had to turn it up. All my research pointed me toward a amp & larger, more powerful speakers. Hopefully, this is what I've been searching for!

I just did a kickass upgrade on my Limited Ultra. 6 JLs & a JL amp. I have an ARC Mini 125.2 amp, and 2 "practically brand new" 6.5 Titan II speakers that you can have for less than $500. Check them out. The speakers are the BT471s from Biketronics. I bought from Biketronics. Lifetime guarantee on speakers. Blew one of them up last fall. Sent them both in. They sent me 2 new ones. They upgraded me from the BT451 to the newer BT471. Just put them in, in Feb. Took them out a few weeks ago when I did my upgrade. Good speakers --- you'll be able to hear 'em at 80, no problem. I went with JL all the way around now, just to have all components from the same mfgr. The only problem --- I don't have any 6.5 adaptors for them. You'll have to find your own.

I take that back. When I got the new speakers, I used the adaptors that were already there from the 1st set, so I might still have the adaptors from the new set. Let me know if you're interested.

Best bang for the buck is Rockford PBR300X2 amp and Polk MM651 speakers.
You can get the amp, speakers and adaptors under $350.00.
