Default Biketronics Amp & Speakers...install ?

Should have the BT480 & Speakers (2) tomorrow for my 2012 SG.
Wondering if I should get myself 2 of those foam speaker
cones for the back side of the speakers...?
Anyone using them, in the past they seem to work well in cars...
At $650 for the amp & 2 speakers I dont want to miss a beat at being pleased.
Anyone else running the BT480 with only 2 BT speakers?
Tips...advice?
TIA
Gene

Would probably work in there. I lined the inside of my RG fairing with sound dampening mat. I think if I did it again, I'd do those covers. No matter how much bass you create though, it's pretty much stated by the wi d she you're riding. It's the treble that cuts the wind.

I have the same set up and have ran with the dyna mat and without and I personally, cant tell the difference. There is not a lot of room in the fairing for the sound to bounce around. Wire it up, set the gain and roll with it.

I just installed there compete plug and play system with a Sony mp3 /media marine player....I will say there is no gain adjustments on these amps, everything is preset from biketronics. The system will get loud that is for sure,I had the speakers that came with the kit,but then changed to there Hertz speakers......Very nice sound....lacks base however, but then it is a motor cycle right. Depending on how different songs have been recorded depends on how they sound, some very crisp and some not so much....i did insulate the fairing , made hard to put back together did not want to mach up very well...I like the system very well, But there is always room for improvement!

I have this system using the main amp with the two amps for each front speaker. also have the oversize speakers with tweater in the middle from BT. the tweater is adjustable to aim towards your head. still using the stock radio and rear speakers. the rear speakers are wired normal factory, I adjust the fader to lean more toward the back because the front with the BT setup is so loud! I had an issue a few months after installation. BT stands by their products and warranty was painless and quick. I did also install small sections of dynamat in the outer fairing. the extra deadening helps the overall sound in my opinion. Just have the be careful where its installed in the sections or getting the outer fairing to fit right may be an issue.

Well, live and learn...
I'm really not thrilled with this set up, got it installed....
I guess it sounds OK, but ran into all sorts of issues.
Think I'll be looking for another radio and maybe another amp sooner than later....
Just dont care for the way the amps ...kinda fit! Surely I can come up with a better fitting mount, speaker terminals that fit & match and a left side bracket that dont fit
with the instructions.
It's really not the plug & play system I expected....for the price!
And, this has nothing to do with the system but come to find out my CD player dont work!
New bike & never tried a CD in the player up until my install.
I dont need a CD anyway, USB would be nice!
Reckin I'll throw the HK in the garbage get myself a better radio with RCA's and decide
if I want to fool around with theses amps?
Oh did I mention, Live & learn
For the time being, it least I can hear it fairly well!
True Story...

I had no issues installing the same set up (Biketronics) on my SG. Amp mounts on top of stock radio (I used H/D velcro) and the box for the Hog Pro Tweeter Pod wires mounts next to it. Only thing that wasn't plug n play was the hot & ground wires that I ran to my battery.

You radio is still under the warranty. Go have them replace it. If you decide that you still don't want it then sell it on Ebay or to www.ironcrossaudio.com

Sure yours is the same, the BT480 amp is 3 parts, 2 amps and a power suppy.
The amps mount beside the speakers... power supply on top of the radio,
along with the converter.
It's not all that bad...I'm just not thrilled, but thats me
