Default Those who know about/had SE compensating sprocket failures, please help!

I've had the SE compensating sprocket for a while now but I've been reading about the failures. I'm going to open my primary this weekend for an inspection. Those who know about or had the failures, could you please describe the symptoms associated with it, and what to look for during my inspection?
Thanks in advance for any input or help!!!

Default SE Comp

I wouldn't open it up to check it. You'll hear it long before it fails.

When mine went south, it started out as noise on the primary side when I started up a hill riding double. It is very load sensative. When it first starts to make the noise you can give it more gas or let off of it a little and the noise goes away.

As it gets worse, the noise is there more and more often.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, it does help. How would you describe the noise, is it a grinding?
What exactly fails, is it the bolt backing up and the sprocket sliding on the shaft?
Thanks again

Here is mine after 1000 miles. I had abt 14oz Bel Ray Gear Saver in the primary as recommended by Bandit, my clutch vendor. No noises yet as the surface is still good. This is the part -08A version

Thanks for the pics. Are there any pics of what the failed parts look like?
