Default Wide Whitewll Tires on RKC

Looking for wide whitewall tires on my 2011 RKC. Rear size is 180/65B16. Only one I can find is the Dunlop Tire. Thought of Avon Cobra but did not see them in WWW. Also Metzler, but once again could not find them in WWW. Any ideas??

Can't help in your quest for WWW in some other company's lineup. I am curious about the hesitancy to use Dunlop. From what I am seeing, it is the front tire giving every one grief. Most folks are reporting excellent durability from the factory rear tire. Do you just not like Dunlop (everyone has their own preferences) or did the tire not work well for you? Or is it the extremely high price from the dealer? There are other sources.

I do like the Dunlop tire. Got almost 10000 miles on it before a change. Cost is a facot, almost 300 to replace just for price of tire. Just wondering what else is out there. What is up with the front? Not getting good mileage off of them?

Not many choices when it comes to the WW tire. I ended up with stock again because the wife like them and I clean-em....LOL

The front tires seem to be having trouble with early side wall cracking and cupping. My son had a front tire replaced on warranty because small chunks were coming out of the tread. The rears are surprisingly trouble free in comparison. As far as that brutal price goes, there are are several on line tire outlets where the tire can be had for about half of the price you quote and with an indy doing the work you can probably get to a total closer to $200, especially if you take them just the wheel and new tire.

Many are reporting almost twice the rear tire mileage you are getting, you must be a very "spirited" rider. Keep an eye on your brake pads also, rapid tire wear and brake wear often are directly coupled.

I use Dunlops all the time. No problems and I get excellent mileage/wear from them. WWW is available for the size wheels the RKC uses. The RK standard has a different size front wheel that nobody seems to make a WWW for. I've been wanting WWW's for my RK since I bought it but somehow nobody makes them for the size cast wheel the standard uses... WTF? How can this be after almost 4 years that nobody makes that size WWW??? Is there really no demand for WWW in that size wheel? I find that hard to believe.

PS: The Dunlop "American Elite" is another version made for the H-D (besides the D407 and D408 that it comes with from the factory) that give excellent wear and are noticeably cheaper).
