Default Need a Harley Headset Adapter

Wife and I listen to much different music. She uses a full face helmet with Harley Headset and I use a half helmet (or none at all). I like the open air radio blasting at me, she wants to listen to her ipod. I'm looking for a quick fix to connect her headset to her ipod. Can't find a 7-pin female to 3.5 mm adapter anywhere. Has anyone seen one or do I have to make my own?

I think he wants to go the other way and plug the Harley headset into the output of the iPod.

Just get her some ear buds.

Skullcandy is the best for the money. $30 at Radio Shack gets one with a built in volume control.

They are even better with Heat Activated Foam pads.
The ear buds will stay in her ears while she is putting on her helmet with these foam cups.

Both of those allow you to plug a regular headphone set into the HD stereo/intercom system. Like Jim said, he wants to figure a way for his wife to be able to listen to her ipod through the HD headset that's already installed in her helmet. I've never seen one. Maybe contact the people at the Spoiled Biker website. I've never seen that site before but they have a lot of interesting stuff. They have some custom cords for the HD system so maybe they could make one or know of a source.

My only suggestion would be to have your wife use the earbuds that came with the ipod under her helmet. I think she would still be able to hear the HD headset over those if needed. I've used them and they fit under a helmet. And there are all kinds of ipod headphones including ones that are basically ear plugs as well as headphones.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. In the meantime I found out from J & M that an ipod will not power the Harley headset anyway, so that explains why nobody has used this setup.

I was going to suggest J&M audio, but I see you've already found them. Enjoy the ride.

Most of my riding is solo and I put helmet speakers in my modular helmet and use ear buds with the half, since I have no need for the intercom. Both have the 3.5mm connector. Bought a couple of the adapters from aerostich like the ones shown in the first couple of replies to you. Might try that route and she could connect to an ipod or the HD radio with the adaptor

You sort of have the answers. Wife would use ear buds and you can use the adapter shown in spoiledbiker along with ear buds or behind the neck ear phones. I use the latter to protect my ears and get a bit better wind/road noise dampening.
Aerostich has a similar adapter.
