Default Sounds like exhaust/head gasket leak

Have a 103 with rinehart true duals, harley heavy breather and S&S 551 easy start cams (about same as 255's). Prior to installing the heavy breather and cams everything sounded just fine. However, now, only when the engine is under load, I hear a sound similar to exhaust leak or head gasket leak. I've used the "hose method" to try to locate the source but to no avail. I was leaning towards the exhaust gaskets, but I've changed them out twice and still have the weird sound. Now I'm wondering if it may be caused by the heavy breather/cam combination. Any thoughts????

Just put a Heavy Breather on my 2012 FLHX, I know the sound and I think the noise is coming from the breather I'm getting used to it. Going to try one of those slotted covers and see if that helps.

My bike has the exact same sound and I have replaced everything on the exhaust. Sound still there and I have basically the same breather with the stock cover. I have finally gotten used to the sound.

If you had an exhaust leak or head gasket leak, you'd see oil leaking from somewhere... I did true duals on mine and same sound came, sounds like rear cylinder. Just ride it

Thanks for all the opinions. As there are many with the same sound, it is apparent it is normal for my configuration. I guess I won't worry about it and find that I am getting used to the noise.

I've got the SS stealth breather and I don't have any sucking sounds or anything coming from my breather.

The design of the cover must help with the noise on the stealth AC.
