Default Build a dream system!

I would like to get opinions on a "Dream System" for a '12 RG Custom.

The budget will be $2k.

The saddle bags need to retain storage. (Some loss is acceptable)

I would like to be able to order the lids pre-painted and complete (if possible to get the best sound).

It is ok to lose the glove boxes and a couple gauges. It is also ok to drill the inner fairing.

I want to get rid of the stock head unit. I want to retain the handlebar controls and interface with an iphone 4s.

The system will see Rain.

I appreciate any and all info!

I want this so loud it blows my wifes top off at 100mph!

No need to lose gauges and drill fairings.

Check out the link in my signature for some ideas. Click on the RED in my sig !!

Good luck. If you have questions, ASK !!

Glacierpearl: with all the non hardened/Non marine grade audio gear, how do you wash the bike without ruining your gear?

I'll have to take a ride up to Canton to check it out sometime. Your system is bad ***!

You don't spray your bike with a hose

I am running a JVC KD-AVX777 DVD player, Arc Mini and two pairs of JL Audio 6.5" speakers on my bike sounds great and I keep my bike clean without blasting it with water all the damn time.

As for the dream system. I'd probably get my hand on the Rockford PBR 4 channel and 2 channel, drive four 6.5" Arc Moto series or similar speaker, two in stock location, to pointed toward the neck inside the fairing.. Run the 2 channel to a pair of 6x9's in the speaker lids and call it done. It will be loud as hell and sound good without a doubt.

I would think a JL xd100/4 and a couple sets of 6.5" focals in the fairing and lowers would be a good start. If not enough, 6x9s in the lids should do it. Biketronics will keep your bar controls with your choice of head units.
