Hey all,

I noticed in the classified section that someone has an update CD and is mailing it back and forth to members who need to update their radio. Not sure if most knew this, but you can download the software update and burn it onto a CD yourself and update your unit. Im not sure what the update does for it but i downloaded it and couldn't get it to work. I guess it wasn't in the right format when i burned it on the cd.
Can anyone tell me what the down load does, or how to burn it so it will work in the radio.

 

No different than updating your iPhone, I think it works out bugs and makes the unit operate more efficiently. I know that some add-ons like the iPod adapter requires certain software versions to work. That is why I was searching for this. My 2012 model has the latest but the site says (i think) that 2009 and older need the update to be current.

I had the CD and forwarded it to the next guy. I used it to update mine for the IPOD interface. You have to burn the CD real slow to get it to work. I tried twice with no luck, so I got the one being mailed around and it worked great.

If you can't burn a cd at a speed of 8x or less, then you'll need to get the update from someone who can.

 

I'm one of those that can't seem to download the software and need to so my HDPDPLUS will work can any one help me out.Appreciate any help.Ray
