A Sad Day in Florida
on 6/9/12 Bob Fletcher the founder of Fletcher's Harley Davidson in Clearwater Florida passed away , Bob was in his 90's and a great guy with a colorful past , today his daughters announced the dealership will be closing 7/31/12 after 49 years in business. Harley is forcing them out like many before them in an effort to reduce dealerships. I have seen many post on here about their dealership closing and have been guilty of thinking like many others well there's more to the story that dealership must have had problems. I apologize to you because now I truly understand . Fletcher's is a first class dealer with greats sales , parts , accessories and service , this is totally not called for , however there are 5 dealerships in the area , 3 owned by a car dealership with the blueprint Harley now wants and 2 family owned , the other dealership drinks the Harley kool-aid and caters to Harley , Fletcher's caters to their customers and it has cost them. I will miss them. Good Luck and so long.

Bob Fletcher was a class act. Fletcher's Harley Davidson and the many employees that are loosing their jobs are still a class act.
If the dealers that are still gonna be opened after July 31st could be half the dealership Bob Fletcher and his three daughters built, they would be great.
Today I bought another Fletcher's t-shirt to honor Bob and the dealership closing.
