Default Easy way to install exhaust gasket ??

OK I give up, how do you install harley OEM exhaust gaskets ?? I am going nuts and don't want to damage them but I am thinking about pulling the hammer. There is got to be a tick ??

some oil on the outside of them and around the receiving end worked for me- my fingers have gotten them in the past 2 times, i suppose a rubber mallet with a very gentle tap should be safe but i never did that.

I used wd-40. You do have to be carefull not to get canted when pushing them in. If you could find something about the same diameter, (large socket)that would help push them in.

I throw mine in the freezer for a while before putting them in. They still don't go in "easy", but they do go in easier.

Default Head gaskets!

Same as bhaxton. I use to almost ruin my gaskets trying to get them in to the head. A buddy told me to put them in a freezer for several hours and they will slip in much easier. So I usually freeze mine over night in a steal bowl and the next day I no longer have a problem fitting them in.

WD40 and a socket of similar diameter. That being said never had to replace the ones on this bike and change the pipes many times.
