I just got back yesterday from Sturgis. Rode 803 miles Wednesday to get there. around 900 while up there and 751 miles back yesterday. total of 2,463 miles in 6 days. Had spotty rain going up but had really nice weather coming back. Hit some rain while up there. 13 hours going up and 12 hours coming home. My butt never hurt at all. I love my Corbin seat.

I almost agree, some people have disabilities that prevent extended rides but they still want enjoy the rally

I just got back Sunday night at about 8:30 pm EDST. Logged 33 hours driving back, total miles the whole trip were around 3800 or so combined. We trailered tho. I didn't want to be a wreck for my time while I was out there so we opted to go that way. Totally amazing trip! Worth every long hour in the truck! Another item checked off the bucket list. My recommendation is to go! If your thinking about it, do it! It's worth it!

I am beginning to soften my line on trailering and I do agree. I'm watching my Dad get old and if a trailer would allow us to make it to Sturgis then I guess I'll grit my teeth and lash the bikes down. I won't like it, but I'll do it.

Ain't nuthn worse that seeing bikes pulled off due to rain and I just drive right on by and dry, and if it was to rain everyday I would still enjoy my vacation cuz I have other means of getting around, But then on the other hand that doesen't make me a tough hardcore biker does it.....

I went to Sturgis as well this year. Took a week to ride out and back. Enjoyed it. Put well over 4000 miles on my bike. From NC to Sturgis is a little over 1800 miles.

I changed my stock seat to a Hammock seat and man...That made a difference. I can safely say its the most comfortable motorcycle seat I've ever owned.

Our group of seven rode to sturgis for the first time from upstate NY...
690 miles the first day, only 415 the second because of being at a HD dealer to get one the bikes looked at, and 680 the final day. The only weather we ran into was a torrential downpour/high wind situation just north of Chicago.
I just got into the rest stop before the sky opened up. Thank god I parked my Ultra with air cleaner side toward the wind, otherwise it would have gone over.

While in Sturgis, we rode about 600 miles in four days.

On the way back, 680, 575, and 540..we hit moderate rain in western pa and western NY. The same bike that was looked at by HD on the way out, broke down south of Chicago, He was traveling with his son and they rented a uhaul and drove the bikes back.

We got back on Aug 8th. The weather getting there and coming back was some of the worst that I've had. We had 60 mph (someone said, not sure) gust winds that blew the bike all over the place. Made it interesting for riding in a group. On the way back, we camped in Arlington SD. We were woke up at 4am to a huge storm and it blew the tent over while we were in it. Nice. We found a vacant building that had an open garage. We pulled the bikes in and waited out the storm. Didn't last all that long...just enough to **** you off. Then we pack up and headed home. Had to then ride through another storm. Some of the SH$TTEST weather I've had to ride in. At one point, I could see the tail lights of the guy in front of me and the white line on the side - and that's about it. Had to look through the glasses sideways to see though.

But we had a blast while we were there.

The bike performed flawlessly. I can't say enough about how it performed.
