Default Dad bought a PCM-V... but I'm not there to help...

So my dad, after a trip to Sturgis pulling a trailer with his bone stock 96 ci Ultra Classic sold his beloved shotgun (without offering to sell it to me first!!!) so he could afford an air cleaner, slip-ons, and PCM-V from Dennis Kirk.

He's not the most technical adept person ever, barely can use the internet, so I was hoping someone here has a MAP he could throw on there fairly easily. I think he's also going to gut the cat, but make it into a true dual system at the same time.

Any ideas? Is there somewhere I can go/talk to?

Not sure what a pcm v is. Are you talking about the power commander? If so I can email a map that I had on an 09 sg with true duals.

Not familiar with a PCM-V would you mean PCV....if so you can go to the Dynojet website and download a map close to what dad has on his bike.....there are many threads on the subject and suggest you take some time to familiarize yourself.

And I don't believe there are cats on an 09. My sg didn't have them.

Yes, yes. My bad. PCV. Haha
He had just texted me PCM.

I had my map preloaded when I bought it. I guess it'd be a good idea to familiarize myself. haha

Return the PCV to Dennis Kirk and buy one from Fuel Moto. Map / tech support will be worth it.

Like one of the previous posts stated, return everything and go to Fuel Moto. That way he gets double the warranty and lifetime support.

I have the cobra auto tune 9000 and it is the easiest to use, you do nothing and it tunes the bike for you, I have no issues at all and the bike runs alot cooler too..

Knowing Fuel Moto they will give you maps even if you didn't buy it from them. A shrewd business will give you something for nothing as an investment in future purchases from them for taking care of you. Im willing to wager they will gladly give you an updated map if you explain your situation to them.....they invest in people and it comes back time and time again......by the way I don't work for them, but I am one of those people they invested in at one time. Just keep in mind they are very busy.
