A few months ago dealer put Syn3 in motor, primary and Redline Heavy Shockproof in the tranny (at my request.)

Harley endured years of complaints concerning high maintenance/upkeep costs and the challenges of keeping their bikes on the road as compared to those coming from Japan and Germany. The MOCO knows as well as anyone that a solid dependable product is essential to their reputation and sales. Don't think there is any tactical reason for them to recommend something that hurts the dependability of their product.

I ran Syn3 in all three holes for the first 15K that i put on my 2010 RK. But, just before the last change I started to notice a slight whine coming from the primary. When I talked with the service tech at my dealership, he said that they were switching out to Formula+ in the primary and tranny, but staying with Syn3 in the motor. So, I did that at 15k and noticed the whine went away, the clutch seemed to grab better and overall the motor seems to be much quieter.
I think the Moco (or somebody) changed the program. I think it is a good call on their part, I just wish it would have happened long before I had 15K on the bike.
