Default RE: Was this designer HAMMERED or what...2008 Victory Vision?

Reckon ah'm of mixed minds here....doesn't do it fer me at this point - but as others pointed out, ya gotta see sumthin' in person ta really judge it. With all the curves, it looks lahk a ton of potential storage wuz lost, an' from the pics, that tour pak looks lahk they fergot 'bout it 'til the last second.

The biggest thang in mah mind is that it's great that the m/c industry is realizin' that there IS a touring market, an' tryin' to focus on it. This should bring ALL of 'em into the mix - and that will be good fer ALL of us in the long run, as they develop better options an' designs!

I was really looking forward to seeing the new Victory touring bike come out, but that thing is way to jetson for me. It looks uncomfortable to ride very far, let alone touring. Not for me!
Love your Bike. Now that is what Victory should model their bikes after IMHO!

I think they are throwing in a free riding suit with each bike

They'd be better off throwing in the bike with the purchase of a riding suit.

Default RE: Was the styling team on CRACK...2008 Victory Vision?

For years I have been riding Harleys, two of which I owned. I thank God everyday mine broke down on Rt. 83 where it was towed to a Victory dealership to see if they can give me a hand. That night, i drove a new Victory Jackpot home and have never looked back.
I found it amazing how the BMW, Honda, and other forums welcome the new styling and innovations. Remote windshield, heated grips, seats, 110" 6 speed combo, ipod capability, navigation, etc.
I was at the Javit Center today, I saw the hundreds of people at the Victory booth, and three dozen at HD. I heard over and over the same thing at the HD booth, "Same as last year," "Oh look, new rims, must be a new model." (lol)
I read someone call it a "Scooter" here. That "Scooter" has a 110ci 6speed that will more than likely wipe you big bad Screaming Eagle. That goes without saying, my wife outran my Fatboy riding the old 92" Vic engine onher Vegas, - and thats a woman driving.
So far the whole motorcycle community minus HD accepts change and innovation, something HD owners will never understand. I never did until I saw it for myself.
I still proudly wear my HD shirts and have my HD plate on my Ram, but you'll never catch me throwing a leg over another HD again until I see some new changes, better service, and newer models. I loved my HD's and still love the company, but there are bigger and better things out there IMHO.
Maybe the Victory Vision is too "futuristic" for some, but then again, I wouldnt expect any other comment from riders who have had the same models and engines recycled over and over for the past 20 years.
I have since painted over the four oil stains on my garage floor from my HD's and I couldnt be happier.
