Smoked Aux Light Bulbs
Thinking about getting the smoked front aux light for the front of my ultra to complete the smoked out look! HD book shows smoked out bulbs called smoked with lens optics?64.00$ anyone have or use these? Im thinking they look clear when on and dark when off! Are they the same output any input or pics would help! thanks

I have them on my 09 FLHX & bigboy's correct w/the look. These are actually brighter than my headlamp's low beam, when on. They have the standard "spade" connectors so if your stock aux lights are the same it's a 1-for-1 swap.
FYI, lens optics is a fancy way of saying how the lens/bulb reflect light.

I had them on my last two bikes and liked the look very much but I just changed over to the regular bulbs that you can change just the bulb. The smoked ones are sealed beam, if it burns out you have to replace the whole thing.
I had two or three replaced under warranty and I think I replaced an additional two after the warranty expired. You can replace just the bulb in the non-smoked ones with a Wallmart bulb for $4 or $5, if I remember right. They take 881 black tip 12.8 volt 27w or 35w.

You might look into the headlight protection films, they are like thick stickers and come in a lot of different colors. If you do not like it peel it off. The better quality ones do not affect the transmitted light too bad, I can hardly tell with the bright yellow I have been running for years. Way cheaper than new bulbs.
