Default In search of the PERFECT SEAT!!!

I just bought a nice used 09 SG. It came with the 09 Seat. To me the seat feels pretty. To my G/F the seat sucked because the rear Pad is very small. So a friend tells me to get the 2011 seat thats a much better seat. Well the passenger part feels great she loves it,however I rode the bike 250 miles with this seat and it SUCKS. It has a big bulge in the back. I tried a tall boy seat from the dealer. That was ok but not much better. So im not sure what to try. Im about 6ft and a BIG DUDE!!!! These seats all make me feel like my knees are touching my chin. I think for some reason I was more comfortable on my 03 RKC!!!

The other issue I have is that id like to move the back rest back about two inches. I have looked for a way to do this and the only thing I have come up with is to cut the back rest apart and add in 2 inches. Then have it replated.

Im hoping maybe someone has some ideas. I hate to say it but I sat on a Big Suzuki the other day it fit me perfect.

Try Mean City Cycles. Now that you have an extra seat you can send one of them to be modded.

Go buy a Victory, it will fit you a lot better. Other than that, good luck on finding the "Perfect Seat".
I've bought several seats from several companies, I've also had seats reworked by 3 different seat gurus.
So by saying "good luck" I speak from experience.

As anyone tried cutting a taint hole like the old cavalry saddles used to have? I have tailbone issues.

Mustang has a two piece seat that moves you back two inches and you can get a 18" wide seat for your OL
Look on their web site.
I see a lot of you BIG DUDE's on these bikes with Big OL's. I don't know how y'all get comfortable.

I give MeanCity an A+ they can modify your seat to help with various issues at a Thrifty price.

had meancity do my touring seat , it was better but I still was not happy , I found a local guy and he said for my weight I needed 4 inches of memory foam , he took my seat apart and they had used 2 inches , he added 2 more inches and it is now much better

I will call Mean City in the morning. I just looked at the web site. Looks like they can help. I would like to be able to ride a couple hundred miles without feeling like HELL!!!!!!!

I would order a Mustang but if it isn't any better I will want to kill somebody. This other option sounds much better.
