Default SE Compensator part # needed

My 09 upgraded SE compensator needs to be replaced. Anybody have a part number for just the SE compensator without the springs and rotor that you get in the 40274-08a kit? Is the upgraded one out yet?

What upgraded one??[/QUOTE]

I was under the impression form the info. I've read in this forum the HD was doing an upgrade on the SE comp. I understood they were on backorder until they could come out with an upgrade?? Thanks for the link DAWG, just the info I needed.

The B/O will be clear by 09/14/12 (partial in interim). If they were going to upgrade it, I would sure think it would have been done for the 13's and that didn't happen so I doubt it is being upgraded just yet.

Just picked up my bike today after a SE comp replacement. This is the 2nd SE comp. They used 40274-08A. I didn't think to ask about an upgraded comp. It'll probably be OK for another 30-40k. Hopefully they'll have something better by then.

They also replaced the primary chain.

Ticket says they put Syn 3 out of a drum in the primary. They call it synthetic lubricant. I googled the part number. I usually use Formula+. I guess I'll wait and see. Shifted smooth and neutral was easy to find.
