Default Harley's being stolen in Indianapolis area

Just a heads up for anybody in the Indy area. A guy I know had his locked 2002 Road King stolen out of his work parking lot last Friday in the 96th and Keystone area. A maintenance guy saw it happening and called the police. He said it took them less than 2 minutes to pop the lock and ride off. He called his insurance guy at Progressive and they said there must be a ring around the area because they have had a lot of Harley's stolen recently. I just started using my disc brake lock today.

Sad, but so true.....we've become a lock-it or lose-it society!

And unfortunately even if you do lock it you will still lose it if its someone that knows what they are doing. Locks just keep honest people honest. The only real defense is good insurance. Sad but true.

Bunch of low life scumbags stealing bikes. Sooner or later they will get caught and "take one for the team"!

If these scumbags know what they're doing that disk lock won't slow them down more than a few seconds ( battery powered grinder). Good insurance with replacement coverage is your best protection.
