Who would make a decent gel-based seat pad (for a HD Tallboy seat on a '07 FLHR) that DOESN'T raise me up in the saddle very much??

I've tried a few friends' pads that were very comfortable. However, I found myself sitting noticeably higher in the seat than I'd like to be . . . almost to the point where I felt like I was sitting "on top" of the bike rather than "in" it.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Saddlemen makes a gel seat cushion, but I don't know the thickness.

I had the stock seat on a 93 Soft tail custon hollowed out and replaced with gel.
It was the best money that I spent to remove me from the pounding.
The single fire ignition helped but you will not be concerned with that now. Tenn

He was using one of those electric knives to carve out the center and
left the sides to cradle the gel. It worked good while I had the bike. Tenn
