Default Is 13,999 a lot for a 2011 Electra Glide with29,000 miles

My local EagleRider has a couple of 2011 Electra Glides that were rental bikes for $13,999. They all around 29,000 miles. Is this a good deal?

Hard to say. $14K is a great price for a 2011, and I would say the issue wouldnt be the number of miles as much as the kind of miles. 29K of rental miles could be pretty rough. Are they offering any kind of warranty?

As far as the price that would be very very low in my area even for retired rental bikes.

...hmmm.

the warranty could be worthwhile- otherwise that is high mileage and a high price for a 2 year old bike.

the local dealer when selling off the rental bikes has a 2 year warranty- something to do with that they were never "titled" to a private owner...

remember nobody treats a rental nice- esp if they feel the rates are a rip off- they run the crap out of it

for comparo my 2009 EG Classic sec/cruise/abs/paint cost me $15K. 14 months old, 5000 miles.

Sounds like a really good price, I'm sure some of the miles are hard but a lot of them are easy I would bet. I lived in Hawaii for 5 years and rode with renters, all of them took it easy, most not wanting to wreck and lose their deposit, some just weren't comfortable and took it easy and the bikes I saw were maintained really well. If it was a sport bike I would run, but most don't treat a EG like one because it would be pointless. With that said I'm still not sure I would buy it, but it would be worth a good look for sure.

I assume these are E/Glide Classic's?? Eaglerider does maintain their rentals well. If these are Classics, I would do a search on Ebay Motors for 2009 Eglides and I think that price is high for a Classic with those kind of miles.

Most folks get after these bikes anyway don't they? I know I run mine pretty hard most of the time and unless they've been crashed or dumped and skinned up which would be pretty obvious I doubt they're beat up too much internally. Price seems low for asking price around here for the same model.

Thanks everyone for the replies, more research to do. I want to upgrade to 96", six speed with a fairing.

They may be fine, but me personally I would not knowingly buy a rental bike.
Most people who rent are probably fine riding them, but I wouldn't trust that a few asshats didn't ride the crap out of them just because they weren't their own bikes.
