Nothing rides like a King. I suggest saving money for fuel and riding the snot out of it.

Nice looking bike. I agree with the previous post. Ride the heck out of it. Maybe the only thing you will need is new tires after all the fun miles.

04 RK Custom here as well!

New seat, Corbin, to get me back farther. Also dumped the beach bars and now have 10" apes. Other than that..no changes.

Love the RK Custom! Bought mine in March (2007 model)...I am addicted, as is my girl!

gbneal - are the apes more comfortable? How tall are you? Did you need new cables? I'm also looking at a new seat or having the current seat refurbed by mean city cycles.

I'm 6'8", 240ish (okay 250 really) and YES, WAY more comfortable.

Hope this pic comes out but here she is with the 10's. All factory wires and cables, had to change nothing.

Changed my whole riding position to actually sitting straight, instead of all the weight on my palms. Love it!

I'd like to try 13" or 14", but thats alot more $$ for cables, wiring, etc...
