Default Electra glide died, very low oil pressure

Just bought an 07, 30k miles a week ago. Just filled up with premium, ran good. Next day took a little hiway run home from work, 70 MPH no issues. Came down exit ramp, pulled in clutch to downshift and could feel rpms go to zilch and oil pressure went crazy low. Put in neutral, fired right up. Next stop light same thing. Two more stops before home and had to keep rpms up to keep from dying. But when in driveway it stayed running just fine. Today seemed to be OK to. Any thoughts? And no it wasn't desiel either.

Search the threads. Some were having the same issues with the 07 seems it was the iac sticking. I think some fixed with just carb cleaner others had to replace it. If idle falls below 1000rpms the oil pressure will drop off too. It only runs between 5 and 7 psi at idle anyway.

Mine had the same issues, it was a dirty IAC.

Pull your air filter off, in side the opening at 12 o clock is a hole, get some carb cleaner, using the straw, spry that sucker real good. a bunch of black goop will come out. Once you think it's clean, spray it out a couple of more times.

This is what I did, and it worked like a charm.

YUp,
what they said.

Mine sometimes won't idle.
The IAC needs alittle help sometimes..
Spray some carb cleaner then cycle the ignition switch on and off.
will "un stick it"

When on the road YES, ignition off and back on is a quick fix in some situations

Oil pressure seems to be in the ball park

I believe that some have found the connector on the side of the throttle body to be dirty or corroded.Disconnect it and have a look see.
